Description

The latest issue of WESTERN TIMES hits the shelves for August. Included is an eclectic selection of articles featuring the old, the not so old (and to us) the modern. We start with a detailed look at Dulverton by the expert on the area Freddie Huxtable. This is followed by the slightly older with Part 2 of Dean Singles and some pre-group coaching stock. More up to date is ‘The end of Monarchy’ – if you do not quite understand the title, it will be immediately obvious on looking at the issue. Not to be forgotten is a slightly tongue in cheek continuation of our series on ‘Modernising the Western’ but going back to 1915. We also have pieces on signalling, ‘Maud’, an MSWJ favourite and of course our regulars including a book review and ‘Modern Traction’. WESTERN TIMES has already carved its own niche and we are certain this too will be a welcome issue.
