Western Region Cameraman
Price range: £18.95 through £19.95
Following the end of steam on British Rail, most railway photographers found their activities restricted to stations and viewpoints outside the railway boundary. However, those who were within the railway’s employ could get around this difficulty and Terry Nicholls was one of them. Working in the control function in the Bristol area also meant that he enjoyed inside information about special workings. Some of the results of that can be seen within this book, covering as it does the period from the late 1960s to the early 1980s when blue was very much the colour but variety in motive power could still be found across the Western Region.
