Coming soon, Railway Times and Eastern Times.

At the end of the month, we will be adding to our Times series with Railway and Eastern Times. Here is a little more about the new books before their release:

Railway Times is a new venture by Transport Treasury covering the British Railway period from 1948 on a year-by-year basis. Find out what was happening on the newly nationalised railway, what was new and what was being seen for the last time. Compiled by Jeffery Grayer, each issue is of 80 sides and covers all four regions of the railway network.

Issues one includes: Nationalisation – the outward and visible manifestations of change, The 1948 Locomotive Exchange Trials Schedules, British Railways Advertisements, Peppercorn’s New Pacifics, Named Expresses, 1948 in Colour, Oil Conversion Scheme Scrapped, Curtains for the Corris, End of the Line for Passengers on the Easingwold Railway and more…

Out at the end of March.

Eastern Times is the fourth in the regular Times series of journals from Transport Treasury Publishing. Similar to the volumes covering the Western, Southern, and London Midland regions, Eastern Times is packed full of facts and detail, with interesting and ‘off the wall’ articles. Eastern Times is edited by Pete Sikes.

Great Electric Train Show Milton Keynes

Over the weekend of October 8th and 9th we attended the Great Electric Train Show in Milton Keynes. We had a very susccesful show and it was great to meet so many of our customers. In a new trial we also gave access to our websites whilst on the stand so could showcase our material to potential customers and users. It was definitely something we will be using again in the future.

Are you a writer – or a potential writer?

Transport Treasury are always looking out for new ideas and new writers. You may have been working on a project for some time or had an idea for a book but were unsure what to do next. Speak to us, we may be able to help.
We are interested in both road and rail subjects and for both written and pictorial ideas. We do not charge you to publish your book, instead we pay you.
Several of our authors have produced more than one book for us, we like to think this is because we are easy to deal with. We also have a hugh photo archive available to our authors – free of charge. Yes, exactly that, free of charge, you do not have to pay for our images you use in a book we publish. So more money stays in your pocket.
Want to know more, then drop us a line, we look forward to hearing from you.
