I’m enjoying the content of these issues. They have some beautiful photography to accompany the articles and manage to include a good spread geographically to cover much of the LNER network. Thoroughly recommended.

  2. William Armstrong

    Eastern Times 5

The latest issue of Eastern Times continues in the high standard set by its predecessors. The spread of subject matter ranges from the ancient (Stirling Singles) to the modern (Ripple Lane Diesel Depot) and virtually everything in between. Even if the Eastern is not your “thing”, the outlay of the modest purchase price will, I’m certain, be well worth while, so another five stars to join all the others in Transport Treasury’s firmament.

  3. John Carr

Eagerly awaited every four months Eastern Times covers the sprawling territories of the L&NER and its predecessors from the low-lying East to the Northern Dales ans Fells. The LNER inherited probably the most varied collection of motive power and rolling stock of any of the grouped companies so there’s plenty of good, often new, material to draw on. At the expensive end of the railway periodical market, Eastern Times lives up to Transport Treasury’s high standards of production.
